You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your Open Water Diver certification.
This program allows you to experience five different open water dives. Of the five dives, two of the dives are required, Deep and Navigation. During the Deep Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time. Your three remaining dives could include Peak Performance Buoyancy, Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV), Dry Suit, Fish Identification, Search & Recovery, Wreck Diver and Underwater Videographer, also included in the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the Advanced Open Water certification, a prerequisite for the Rescue Diver Course.
